Tim Ives - The Body Project

Tim Ives, Owner/Coach/Personal Trainer

Tim Ives recently completed his 16th season as Head Boys Cross Country Coach and Distance Track & Field Coach at Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines. Coach Ives has led DCHS to 8 team state championships and 4 individual state champions in cross country. At the 2012 State Meet, his team's average time for 5k was 15:32.

On the track, some of Ives' most accomplished runners include Cole Decker (9:08 3200m PR), Jackson Heidesch (4:06 Mile & 9:01 3200m PRs), Ryan Schweizer (1:50 800m & 4:05 Mile PRs), and Jason Thomas (4:10 1600m PR).

Sara Schendinger - The Body Project

Sara Schwendinger, Fitness & Running Coach

Sara's passion and enthusiasm for coaching center around her desire to help others realize their potential and become their strongest, healthiest selves. Sara has coached high school athletes since 2016 and currently serves as the Head Boys Cross Country Coach and Head Girls Track & Field Coach at Des Moines Roosevelt High School.  She has worked with a wide range of ability levels, including first-time runners and experienced state meet qualifiers.

A life-long fitness enthusiast herself, Sara has been a runner for over 20 years and continues to compete as a masters athlete on the roads and on the track.  Some of Sara's proudest running achievements include completing the 2017 Boston Marathon and winning the 2019 Drake Relays Championship in the Women's Masters 800 along with the 2019 Kansas Relays Championship in both the Women's Masters 800 and Mile.

Sara has served as a past board member of the Capital Striders Running Club and currently holds her coaching authorization from the state of Iowa.
